Crying for Comfort

Here is a good read about infant crying. http://mothering.com/parenting/crying-for-comfort It discusses what I think is an abusive practice, that is, letting an infant "cry-it-out." Basically letting an infant cry itself to sleep is incredibly wrong. Of course there is a difference in 2 minutes and 2 hours, but jeez...have some compassion...if a babies own mother won't comfort it, what hope does it have? It also discusses how it is ok for babies to cry "in-arms." This is of course very different.
