30 Day Challenge: Day 7

Wow! An entire week of posts featuring ME rather than just my kiddies! Impressive! Day 7 is a photo that makes me happy!

Oh wait! It is my kids that make me happy! This is Claire and Alex chilling outside. Claire is on my phone talking to probably Holly or my Mom!

Claire is tired of me filming apparently:

PATIO! ALL DONE!

Claire is so excited that she can put on these velcro dress shoes herself. If I let her, she would probably spend all day in the laundry room playing with her shoes. We also call this the pantry, but I don't actually keep any food in here...it's all in the cupboards in the kitchen!
Wrong foot! She doesn't seem to care about getting them on the right foot yet!

She loves to play with this squishy orange ball!

Dirty footprints! YIKES! Well we have a big mud ring around the edge now.

She loves the patio already!

Notice my tomato plants? I have 3 and 1 pepper plant!

Baby's First Sunburn...

Oops. Claire got a little pink from being outside so much on Sunday. And hot sun. Luckily, it was cooler, so she just had her face exposed. She started out with a hat in the shade as Daddy grilled steaks for everyone:

But then the sun moved...it seems to do that all the time...

And by the end...she was hatless and in full sun...

Then she wanted to get in her wagon!!!

She took a nice long walk with Opa around our neighborhood!

Claire was enjoying being pulled around by everyone!

Seriously Flocked

Our church youth group flocked our yard with 50 bright pink flamingos. It was a fundraiser that they did. Claire loved them. She was calling them "Quack, Quacks!"

Claire loves to walk!

Claire loves to walk. This is good because it is great exercise for both of us, and we are getting fresh air and sunshine. She walks some and rides some! Today we went to Yats downtown for some yummy food...we met up with Josh's brother on his way out to Cali. http://www.yatscajuncreole.com/ Cheap, filling food, you must check it out!

Oh wait! We have to knock on the door because...well...it's a door! She also has to knock on any doors she sees in her books. (This is my new header.)

Now let's stomp on Mommy's budding flowers and weeds...well it's ok to stomp on the weeds!

Claire loves to look at the Easter Egg tree that I decorated! She keeps saying "Ball!" She will also grab any she can and try to run away with her treasure.

Wow. Here her legs look unusually long in this photo! Hopefully she won't be wearing 36 inch inseam jeans by the time she's in 9th grade like I was. It's so not fun to find non-flood water pants...Tall Girl here we come!

In case you are wondering why one of the "eggs" is black, it's because the Easter Eggs are actually in the shape of jelly beans if you look at some of them closely. You can tell better in person as you get the 3-D effect.

Claire is mastering walking up and down 1 or 2 steps without holding somebody's hand. This is really awesome when you think she's only been walking since September. She also likes to hold my hand and walk upright up the stairs in our house, but this step is nice and shallow...what a good practice step.

She was holding onto the stroller a bit to help her go up and down. But the stroller can't help lift her up or catch her!

Walking the Pennsy Trail

We have a cool trail in town that we've never been on before!! The month of Feb. was crazy as we were able to get outside at least 4 times for lengthy walks. Last Wednesday, Claire and I joined our friends we met at Moms Club, Kellie and Baby Kya for a nice long walk outdoors! It would be a really cool place to pose for some photos!

First Cold is going away

Well Claire caught her first cold of the season and passed it to me. I think that's why she was waking up so much Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights...oh joys. She was getting sick. Well now she's doing better and eating solids again. She won't eat solids if she's not feeling well, apparently. Today was gorgeous. Upper 50s and sunny!

I ordered her a new hat and some mittens in preparation for the cold weather. Think they are cute?

Apparently, the aliens have landed!!! In our backyard. Yikes. What should we do?


Look, our tree is changing colors! :( Boo. I want summer to stay. I'm not giving up on sandals, yet!
