Claire has discovered the camera lens. I'm not sure if she likes the lights/flash or her reflection, or maybe she just sees that it moves.
I LOVE THIS OUTFIT! Of course with my screen name for aim being
strwberryjoy -- it's granted I love all things strawberry! This is from my mom,
Oma (German for Grandma).
These photos are actually from the end of May. As you can see the huge child safety hazard in the background...the black cord. She used to not be able to reach over it. Then one day it came crashing down. Then it was time to rearrange.
Well my goal is to Blog at least once a week, so I'm on quite the roll right now. :) If I haven't posted in awhile, be a Blog Bugger and bug me to post. Chances are if I'm not posting, I have more than enough things to post about.
So what did we do today? Well we always do something, it seems!
Well today we went to church and Claire was acting fussy, so we slipped out early. She fell asleep on the way home and slept for 2 hours. Then we went over to Toys-R-Us on Washington and got a nice baby gate for the top of the steps. It has a door so we just open and shut it rather than the pressure mounted gate which I was afraid if she leaned on it, it might give way anyway. So now Josh is installing it. Hopefully the drilling won't wake her up, but I think she had a very long day.
Then we also went to a big furniture store on Washington called L. Fish, looking for a "child-friendly" coffee table. Such a thing does not exist. Now, on the other hand, if you are looking for something to get a good use out of your insurance coverage, then you would be in good shape with all the glass, stone, and otherwise deadly-looking coffee tables.
Then we ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Claire enjoyed leaning over and laughing at all the other people, while throwing bits of food all over the floor. I particularly enjoyed this as I did not have to clean any of it up. We made sure to give her lots of bits of bread and discovered she really likes the shredded cheese from the salad. She likes steak too. :) She ate an entire 8 oz. one all by herself. (If you believe that, you clearly do not have a 1-year old.) Well, to finish off the meal, Claire proceeded to poop in the high chair, giving her compliments to the chef.
It's always fun trying to change a baby in a grimy restroom stall that stinks like, well, what people normally do in restrooms. I find those little plastic changing tables that flip down from the wall to be a bit cheap looking. They are equally cheap when you put your baby on them. I do not like public restrooms and prefer changing her in the car any day.
Have a happy Sunday, and enjoy blog stalking our family. ;) Btw...I used to blog before the average person KNEW what the term blog meant. And I got tired of it, before it was in. It was sort of the same deal with cell phones. I had one WAY back in 2000 and NOBODY ever called me on it. Then I stopped using one for awhile before going back. NOW we don't have a landline. Which also reminds me that Josh and I started renting NETFLIX the summer of 1999 before a lot of people knew the term DVD. And now EVERYONE has at least heard of NETFLIX. (YAYA MOVIES!) SOOO that brings me to the end of today's rambles...hopefully this blog will continue to be fun and interesting...so leave your comments and questions...and don't send the link to anyone who doesn't want to see the FileHurricane's RSS Feed at the bottom of this page. ;)
