Loving La Library

This is our awesome new library! It has been built since we lived in Greenfield. We love going there for story time, books, or just to play! Yay!

Claire models her stroller. I think this is her first picture without the baby "pumpkin seat" carrier. She is getting so big!

We even bought a brick for their sidewalk. We don't get to keep it though! ;) We ordered this before Claire or B.C. Hey, that works for Before Children, too!

For some reason, ours is really light, or maybe it's because it's under the really dark one!

I love library. I wanted to be a librarian when I was little! So I chose the English/German areas to satisfy that craving.

I love the way books smell. I love the stacks. I seriously am a dork taking my camera to the library to take pictures. Yay for bookworms! Proud to be a dork! (Hey, I got to go to college for free because of my dorkiness, so I can't complain.)

Claire always makes a beeline for the puzzles in the play area. She LOVES all the little pieces.

Sadly, these indoor library photos are over-exposed because of all the huge windows, but they'll have to do for now. I felt weird taking pictures in there and plus I didn't want anybody to think I was randomly stalking their children.

She will dump out every single puzzle if I let her. As at home, she will dump out every single toy from the bins, clear every item off the bookshelves within reach, as well as the coffee tables. I know the best is yet to come...

The Children's area is pretty sweet. They have this big pirate ship play area as well as a nice solid wooden play house and a big lego block table in addition to bins of various toys.

Claire loves the fish tank. She points and claps and squeals. When I hold her up, she wants to smack the glass. I think they need more fish. They look like they have room for more.

Claire can now stand up and down very steadily now and remaining standing for about 5-10 seconds. She can walk really good behind her walker/pushtoy.

Welcome to your local Wal-Mart Stupid Center

Hello! Welcome to your local Wal*Mart STUPID-Center. Err. I mean, SUPER!Center.

This is the location in Greenfield, IN. I am not trying to give them free advertising, just make fun of them. Why? Because they apparently cannot spell.

It pains me to see this. It's been there for about TWO months. Not two weeks, MONTHS. They haven't fixed it yet. They probably don't even KNOW it's misspelled. Ouch.

Apparently they were sleeping during English Class on the day they learned about "I before E, except after C, or as in Neighbor or Weigh." So that makes for one interesting sounding "YEILD." Maybe they're trying for attention? I doubt it, but having taught English, I am sure this was painted by someone who is is clearly painting parking lots for a reason. I'm not trying to sound harsh. We need these people.

So I decided to torture myself and make cupcakes for the new neighbors. It was pure torture not to eat, say all of them. YUMMERS!

Don't they look so yummy. I actually used the recipe on the back of the Hershey's cocoa container. It's really easy and tastes much better than frosting-crap-in-a-can. (No comment on the similarities in color, here.)

So you need your daily dose of Claire? Well here you go! Claire is starting to stand up for up to about 5 seconds now. W00t! It keeps getting longer and longer!

Here Claire is playing with her baby doll from Oma. She loves her books and this Superman laptop.

Have a great weekend! And feel free to call Wal-Mart for me to let them know about their error.

Cloth Diaper Party

Claire and I went to a cloth diaper party. Think Tupperware, but with Diapers.

Her eyes are shut, but her smile is still cute! Now if she would look and smile for pictures...

Claire says, "Bald is beautiful!" Jordan and I even have coordinating outfits!

Claire loved to smack this water play mat. And it couldn't get anyone wet! That was the best part!

Some of the other LLL mommies ready to check out the cloth diapers! (Kelly, Cherish, baby Sarah at 8 weeks, and Patty)

What a sweet big sister! :) This picture is so adorable! (Ally, Aidan, and Rachel)

I did not buy anymore cloth diapers, but enjoyed learning about what products and accessories are out there to go with them.

July 2007 Babies

Today we went to Hillary and Adrienne's house to play! Claire has enjoyed playing with a baby her age at the LLL meetings.

This one is cute because it looks like Claire is trying to feel her hair. She wants some more hair!

This one is too cute! Adrienne is "just chilling." Claire looks like she's scared or very surprised.

Now they are ready to go shopping!! Claire's got the Credit Card and Adrienne is getting the sunglasses ready! Their birthdays are inverses of each others. Adrienne is July 12, and Claire is July 21. Pretty neat, huh?!

Claire wasn't too sure of the water sprinklers! Adrienne had a ball though and is really good at walking!

Claire gets a hand from Hillary at standing up in the slippery water!

Claire enjoys playing at their play table while trying to tan her ghost white belly!

Here is a video from the backyard swim:

Thanks for having us over guys! We'll have to get together again, soon!

Cute Cuties

Today Christy and Catrece came over to play. Yay!

Here Catrece is looking right at the camera!

Claire kisses Catrece! Aren't they 2 little cute cuties?

Thanks for coming over to play! We'll have to do it again soon! :)

Morning Photo Shoot

We call Claire, "Clairebear." How appropriate that she would adopt this pink Carebear as her lovey! She has a yellow one, too, but always goes back to this one!

Sometimes I still can't believe that she has 4 teeth. SOON TO BE 5! She is cutting the top left incisor! I can see the white line, but it might be awhile before it's all the way out. Her other ones too a long time!

I posted this one because I think it's hilarious how many pictures we have with one or both of my feet in them. Do you like my sandal tan from my Birks? Haha. And I try to shun the sun, too. It just happens.

Look behind her ears. You can see her hat hair and "fly-aways"-- or "Claire's wings!" She is really filling in hair-wise, but it's so fine and white!

This would make a great Demotivational Poster. What caption should I use?

I have a hard time capturing a real smile anymore. She is either not looking or laughing or imitates the goofy faces I make to try to get her to smile. :)

People are often amazed that she wears hats. Well the secret is this: KEEP PUTTING THEM BACK ON! After about 5-6 times, she will eventually give up. :) Either that, or I will give up...lol.

I love the light coming in, if only the flash had gone off, it would've turned out better, but I really like her pose in this one. Don't you?

She looks so interested in the outside world. She is watching the sprinkler. It's a new thing! We've only had to water a few times this year. Yay for a rainy spring! :)

Hope you have a happy week! :)

Starting to like Solids

Well we are slowly finding Claire likes some foods. She doesn't like baby food. She doesn't like us to feed her. Here she is eating some peanut butter. Pretty stinking cute, huh?
