Mom rolls over on Baby while Sleeping

Bedsharing has been safe since the dawn of time before the advent of formula. 20 bucks says this mom was NOT breastfeeding. http://www.indystar.com/article/20090709/LIVING01/907090412/Indianapolis+mother+rolls+over+on+baby+while+sleeping Bedsharing while doing it RIGHT is safe. NOT bedsharing safely (like if you or hubbie smokes...IS STUPID!)
I'd like more details on this. ARGH. And I hate the negativity on bedsharing. AND SERIOUSLY...AN 11 month old. I bet alcohol or drugs were involved. If I would've rolled over on Claire at 11 months...wait...how do you ROLL over on a large blob. That would be like sleeping on a bowling ball. I wonder if she was "trying" to off the child...

I agree with you entirely. At least the baby didn't die. The mom was probably a smoker and drunk. A baby is going to cry if you "roll over" on them.

I don't co-sleep, but it drives me crazy when people write stories like this! Go check out the comments though on the story. Apparently it wasn't a co-sleeping incident at all. The reporter totally got it all wrong and the baby has a heart problem. The mom noticed the baby was unconcious I think and probably saved the baby's life. stupid reporters. Have you guys seen the horrifying commercial on TV? It shows a dad video recording a mom sleeping on the couch and he wakes her up and she has the baby and when she picks the baby up she freaks out because the baby isn't breathing. Then it says to not sleep w/ a baby. um, hello, obviously a couch is not safe!
