Movie Night!

We enjoy having our neighbors over to hang out. We usually order pizza or Chinese and eat together and then the kids can play/sit and watch a movie for 2 minutes before getting up to play. I was trying to get them to all look. Kind of pointless with a movie on and suckers in hand. Oh, and this is the couch that went into the "man cave" AKA: Josh's office after we got our new recliner. We've had this loveseat nearly 10 years! It was the first piece of furniture we bought together. Aww.

Vacation Bible School

Claire had a fun week last week at Vacation Bible School or VBS. We hung out in the nursery with the under 2 crowd between the opening and closing "jam sessions."
Playing with sand inside was really fun for Claire until she started flinging it off the Neat Sheet. SO we picked it up since she was the only one that would play with it. Nobody else was interested in it.

So we had a busy week last week between getting ready for the garbage sale and the VBS events. Seriously. I had a garbage sale. I refuse to ever have a storage bin. If it has been in a box for 3 months, I don't need it. If I forgot I had it, I don't need it. LOL. SO SICK of stuff! I now have a pantry and closets that have space. I took four more bags to the Goodwill yesterday morning and one bag to a consignment store in town. Sure, I COULD get more on Ebay, but I'm so done with that too. Again...hating to deal with stupid people.

Botanical Gardens

We got to feed a giraffe a chunk of sweet potato for only $1! What a good deal!

We're going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo!

On Tuesday, Claire, Anja, and I headed to the Indy Zoo with our neighbor Jessie and 2 of her girls. We had a good time. We got an early start and made it in for the 10:30 dolphin show. If you go, don't expect too much from the dolphin show. It's all of 15 minutes, so don't be late, either. Here is a little video to tide you over until I get around to posting more stuff. I am about 2 weeks behind on laundry. I am always behind on laundry. Seriously. Ugh. Oh, so here is a video that is actually from the Botanical Gardens, which is connected to the Indy Zoo in White River State Park, which we did later in the day, as you can tell since all the girlies are sleeping. Claire wanted to ride with Amelia all day, so Sophia rode in Claire's stroller. It worked out quite well; check it out:



It was supposed to rain...a 60% chance...so man, did we luck out!

Memorial Day Picnic

We had an impromptu gathering on Memorial Day with our neighbors. Josh made burgers and brats on the grill. Anja made a fresh green salad and I made pasta salad. Yummers!

Biking along the Canal

On Sunday, we took a totally impromptu late-afternoon bike trip with our neighbors around the canal area:

Josh was a great sport and wore the diaper bag backpack for me!

Tante Anja and Claire! Claire loves her pink Princess Helmet, of course! I got this bike seat at a garage sale for only $5. YAY! They are $50 plus brand-new!

It was a good time, but there were too many people and dogs to have a good fast steady ride. I had to stop several times.

Ahh! Here they are! Sophia has the same exact helmet as Claire and Amelia has cute panda one. I need to find a nice helmet for myself now!

It was the first time I'd been around that much of the canal area. I would not advise riding bikes though...too busy! It would be much better just walking or MAYBE rollerblading...but that's almost faster than biking, but you take up less room. We had a great time and didn't even get rained on. Anja rented a bike from the kiosk by the State Museum, and it was a really nice one.

We recently had our neighbors over. Claire had a blast. The girls all got to play together while the Daddies played X-Box. And I got to chat with their Mommy! Fun for all. Claire had fun giving Amelia hugs and kisses. Claire is exactly 3 months older than her.
